Course content

A further repertoire of 80 Exercises on Reformer, Trap table and Wunda chair

This course is advanced level equipment exercises that can be used to upgrade rehabilitation for sports, dance and work injuries and challenge clients further in their quest for functional strengthening.

Many of these exercises are progressions of the level 1 and 2 repertoire exercises. We continue to address the clinical reasoning and exercise applications of these exercises.

The course includes design and instruction of Pilates programmes for specific target groups that would be considered more advanced clients or elite athletes

Assessment on this course

Your application and performance on the course

• Completion of workbook during the course

• Ability to design a programme upgrade that addresses the clinical findings from your assessment – weakness, tightness, co-ordination using Level 2 and 3 repertoire
• Ability to understand the function of the exercise, physically demonstrate it, facilitate correct movement patterns in the “client”, spot incorrect movement patterns and correct these
• Delivering a one hour class to the person you designed it for – assessed on the class design matching the musculoskeletal findings, your teaching skills, demonstration technique and cueing.

This course is Accredited by ESSA. Physiotherapists accrue 1 point per hour for ongoing education.
